We are your low key outdoor enthusiasts that love hiking. Completing the Bruce Trail is our first major goal when it comes to hiking. I'm sure we will face tons of new challenges and experiences to share with you along the way. We are minimal hikers that don't have the latest gear and we are learning as we go.

Peninsula VS Caledon

The Peninsula and Caledon sections are both integral parts of the expansive Bruce Trail, which stretches across the stunning landscapes of Ontario. Each of these sections offers unique experiences and breathtaking views, making them truly remarkable in their own right. Can you see which photos are from which section?

Peninsula vs Caledon. I have hiked roughly the same amount of distance in both sections. I have finished Caledon (73 kms) and I’m about half way through the Peninsula (80 kms). These two sections are so very different and have so many things to offer a hiker. Nothing can compare to the views that the Peninsula offers but Caledon has these massive hills and valleys that can be very challenging.

Our hike from a month ago in the Bruce Peninsula we got to travel up a spiral staircase. My initial concern was the struggle that we could face with Oliver refusing to go up. As always, he proved me wrong and did quite well! Mia was a different story. 😏

We also had an instance where Taylor “fell off” a boardwalk. 🫣 There’s never a shortage of stories when hiking.

Bruce Peninsula you got us again! This is our second failed hike in the peninsula (the first since deciding to hike the whole Bruce trail).

It was greatly disappointing to me that we weren’t able to complete this whole section and to make it worse - I will have to go back and retry this entire part of the trail again.
