Kendal
Hey! This section feels weird to just blab about myself. My name is Kendal and I've lived my whole life in southern Ontario. Have I always been an outdoors person? Hell no! haha I grew up in the country but when I went off to university I thought maybe I thought I was more of a city person. I was totally wrong there! In university, I met Jared, who is an outdoor enthusiast so eventually we moved back to our roots of growing up in the country. I became even more outdoorsy when we got Oliver and Mia. Before having the pups, I hated the cold and rarely enjoyed winter. Now I have learned to love the winter and snow. I work in the city, at Toyota, yes building the actual cars. haha But on weekends you will typically find us at our trailer (in the summer months) or out hiking, ice fishing, skiing, snowshoeing etc.
Oliver aka Olie aka Olie Wally
Mr. Oliver was born May 21, 2019. He was the quintessential perfect little puppy. He is the most stubborn boy you will ever meet. If he doesn't want to do something it is hard convincing him otherwise (treats don't even work). For example, when walking if he doesn't want to go the way I want to, he will literally stop walking. I've had him sit down and he tries to wait me out. I can usually trick him into thinking we will go his way then quickly divert back to the planned route. He is also a grumpy old man that likes his space. Mia just has to look at him while walking by for him to growl at her, letting her know don't you mess with me. Jared and I have gotten a couple growls or very deep sighs when hugging and kissing him when he doesn't want it. He can also be unsure of himself and second guesses things he's capable of doing. He generally keeps tabs on us when we do off-leash play times. He will hunt but always glance over to make sure we are around. I have actually hid on him before to see what he would do. He looked up to where I last was, realized I wasn't there, glanced in both directions, then you could see the panic set in and he started frantically searching. He is also very independent and enjoys his own time. He absolutely adores all humans.
Mia aka Mia Wia aka TROUBLE
Little Mia was born January 26, 2022. She has been full of energy and trouble from day one. The second she came home, she was one tough cookie. She never backs down from Oliver, even when she was a puppy. If he knocks her down, she gets up and goes harder! She is a hardcore wrestler whether it's with Oliver or Jared. She is a do what she wants, when she wants type of girl and always keeps us on our toes. She doesn't give a shit about nothing, specifically any rules, as she enjoys to make up her own. She is also very easy going and is totally up for anything. We can move her around and she wont care at all. For example, if she's laying in front of a door we need to get to, she wont move. Your options are to drag her by the legs out of the way or to open the door, which will also push her out of the way at the same time. She is fine with either options, like I said; she don't care! haha She is our little snuggle bug who loves to be with us. She will sometimes sleep in bed with us and follow us around the house. She enjoys being around us. She also adores her big brother and thinks he's the greatest. If we are outside doing off leash time, she is always focused on where he is and following him around. Just like Oliver, she loves meeting humans.
