All Things Caledon
I wanted to dedicate an entire post just to the Caledon Section, to wrap up everything from this Caledon Section follows the red trail from the northern flag near Mono Cliffs down to the lower flag past Belfountain. section that I learned during my explorations. This beautiful area is filled with diverse landscapes and offers a wealth of experiences for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature. In this post, I will delve into my favourite spots, our stats and the variou

Peninsula VS Caledon
The Peninsula and Caledon sections are both integral parts of the expansive Bruce Trail, which stretches across the stunning landscapes of Ontario. Each of these sections offers unique experiences and breathtaking views, making them truly remarkable in their own right. As of today, March 30, 2026, we have dedicated a significant amount of time and effort in exploring these two segments of the Bruce trail. We have hiked: 72 kms of the Caledon section 88 kms of the Peninsula se

Caledon Section Completed
I can barely contain my excitement for this upcoming hike, and the anticipation has been building. Even on the morning of our adventure, my heart raced with exhilaration as I prepared to embark on this journey. On March 21, 2026, Oliver, Mia and I set out to conquer the very last segment of the Caledon Section of the Bruce Trail, a milestone that felt monumental. This will be our very first section completed! Reflecting on my previous attempt, I remember how I had initially

Caledon East Hike: Sleswick
We completed this hike on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Throughout the week leading up to the hike, I had meticulously planned our outing for that particular Saturday, eagerly anticipating the adventure that awaited us. However, as Friday night approached, a sense of uncertainty crept in. Jared, expressed his concerns about the extreme cold that was forecasted, as temperatures would plummet to an alarming -30 degrees Celsius. The thought of braving such frigid conditions made

Caledon Hills and Cheltenham Badlands
These two hikes I completed back to back. The first, Caledon Hills, was on January 11, 2026 and the second, Cheltenham Badlands, was on January 12, 2026. Both days were super windy which brought a nipping chill to the air but otherwise it wasn't too cold, as it sat around feeling like -10 degrees celsius. It's amazing how much the wind can add to the cold air. I have hiked in colder temperatures but they can feel much warmer than these days did and the only difference is

Mono Centre Hike
January 1, 2026 - yep thats right 2026! Full new year and all new goals. Well, not all new, I'm still focused on completing the Bruce Trail. I needed to do this hike to join two sections of the Bruce Trail that I had already completed. I had already hiked Snell Side Trail Duncan Caves and Snell Loop and then north of that at mono cliffs Mill Creek (Metcalfe Rock) and Mono Cliffs . The parking lot was in the middle of the two sections but a bit closer to the mono cliffs

Hockley Valley Eastern Trails
This is our first official hike after deciding that we are going to hike the entire Bruce Trail. Cue Applause. We hiked this on November 15, 2025. This was a great start to our hiking journey. I picked a place somewhat close to home because this was also our first time to try truck camping. So I wanted to be able to drive home if it didn't work out. Hockley Valley is a part of the Caledon Club Section of the Bruce trail. We started the hike at 11 am and finished by 4pm

Duncan Caves and Snell Loop
In this post, we get into two distinct trails that offer vastly different experiences. The first trail, which I absolutely loved, is a breathtaking journey that offered a variety of scenery. On the other hand, the second trail was a different story altogether. While it had its moments of potential, my overall experience was not so favourable. Parts of the path were poorly maintained, with sections that were overgrown and difficult to navigate. In retrospect, while the fi
