Rock Hill Park
On April 26, 2026, we eagerly embarked on our much-anticipated hike at precisely 9 am. This excursion marks our first—and likely our only—hike for the entire month! I know! I was shocked as well. I was quite taken aback when I realized that this would be our sole hike for April. As I scrolled through my AllTrails App, I noticed a surprising trend: I had logged more hikes during months when the weather was less than ideal. It seems counterintuitive, but I typically manage to

Oliver's Creek and Side Trail
We did this hike on March 29, 2026, and I knew that we were going to come across Oliver's Creek and the Side Trail. Is it just me, or do you also feel a surge of excitement when you encounter places named after family members or friends? Maybe I'm the only one. Haha! Before I left home that morning, I found myself in a bit of a dilemma about what to wear. I debated whether to don my spring jacket, which is lighter and more breathable, or to opt for my light winter jacket, w

Boyne Valley
On March 25, 2026, I made the spontaneous decision to embark on an impromptu hike. The drive to the trailhead took about an hour during which I could hear Mia softly snoring in the backseat; getting all rested up for our days hike. Meanwhile, Oliver was sitting anxiously right behind my driver's seat just waiting to get out of the truck. As we arrived to the trailhead, I changed the pups into their hiking backpacks and I got all my gear on as well, we started the hike at 9

Caledon Section Completed
I can barely contain my excitement for this upcoming hike, and the anticipation has been building. Even on the morning of our adventure, my heart raced with exhilaration as I prepared to embark on this journey. On March 21, 2026, Oliver, Mia and I set out to conquer the very last segment of the Caledon Section of the Bruce Trail, a milestone that felt monumental. This will be our very first section completed! Reflecting on my previous attempt, I remember how I had initially

Mono Centre Hike
January 1, 2026 - yep thats right 2026! Full new year and all new goals. Well, not all new, I'm still focused on completing the Bruce Trail. I needed to do this hike to join two sections of the Bruce Trail that I had already completed. I had already hiked Snell Side Trail Duncan Caves and Snell Loop and then north of that at mono cliffs Mill Creek (Metcalfe Rock) and Mono Cliffs . The parking lot was in the middle of the two sections but a bit closer to the mono cliffs

Mill Creek (Metcalfe Rock) and Mono Cliffs
These two are my very first Bruce Trail hikes. I hiked these way back in 2023 before I ever thought about hiking the entire bruce trail. I have these hikes saved within the AllTrails app which is how I firstly remembered completing them and secondly how I have all the stats and info about the trails. ~Mill Creek (Metcalfe Rock) This was the first Bruce trail hike and to this day, several years later, I still remember this hike because of how wonderful and special it was.
