Dyer's Bay: Devil's Monument
We hiked this trail on Sunday, February 8, 2026, continuing our adventure from the day before. Dyer's Bay is just north of Cape Chin. If you're interested in reading more about our previous day's journey and the experiences we had, make sure to check out that blog post here: Cape Chin This day felt just as cold as the previous day, with temperatures sitting at a biting -28 degrees Celsius. Despite the frigid conditions, there was a noticeable absence of wind, which made the

Cape Chin
On Saturday, February 7, 2026, my Mom and I embarked on an exciting adventure, driving separately to the picturesque Bruce Peninsula area for a weekend filled with hiking and exploration. The Bruce Peninsula, renowned for its stunning natural beauty, offers a myriad of trails that wind through lush forests and along breathtaking cliffs overlooking the crystal-clear waters of Georgian Bay. We were both eager to immerse ourselves in this winter wonderland. Making it to the Trai

Mallory Beach Cliffs Edge Hike
January 8, 2026 we hiked the Mallory beach Lookout section of the Bruce Trail. This section of the trail is a continuation from a hike we did back in November Malcolm Bluffs (Rock Crevices) . We had another glorious mild day and the beautiful sun was shining bright. It was a stunning change to the gloom that winter brings. This day it felt like 3 degrees celsius and while I still wore my base layers, I wish I had chosen a t-shirt at times. The previous day we had hiked

Jones Bluff and Dangerous Rock Fissures
On January 7, the pups and I started our next adventure hiking in the Bruce Peninsula. This Jones Bluff trail was a continuation of a trail I did back in November 2025 Coveney's Loop to the Rock Formations . We had woken up pretty early to get a head start on this day which was likely to be long. We had a two hour drive to this trail head, which we were able to arrive at by 10am. The last time I was in this area, at the end of November, there was a bit of snow but nothin

Duncan Caves and Snell Loop
In this post, we get into two distinct trails that offer vastly different experiences. The first trail, which I absolutely loved, is a breathtaking journey that offered a variety of scenery. On the other hand, the second trail was a different story altogether. While it had its moments of potential, my overall experience was not so favourable. Parts of the path were poorly maintained, with sections that were overgrown and difficult to navigate. In retrospect, while the fi

McKlusky Rock and Old Baldy
We did this hike October 12, 2023. This hike certainly is beautiful in the fall. There is a lookout spot where the foliage is so perfect. For this reason, I highly recommend going in autumn. This trail had difficult moments as there was lots of climbing over rocks and steep parts of this trail. At one point, I had to let Oliver and Mia off leash otherwise it would have been treacherous to all three of us. There are lots of moments like this on trails where it's dangerous

Mill Creek (Metcalfe Rock) and Mono Cliffs
These two are my very first Bruce Trail hikes. I hiked these way back in 2023 before I ever thought about hiking the entire bruce trail. I have these hikes saved within the AllTrails app which is how I firstly remembered completing them and secondly how I have all the stats and info about the trails. ~Mill Creek (Metcalfe Rock) This was the first Bruce trail hike and to this day, several years later, I still remember this hike because of how wonderful and special it was.
