Caledon East Hike: Sleswick
We completed this hike on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Throughout the week leading up to the hike, I had meticulously planned our outing for that particular Saturday, eagerly anticipating the adventure that awaited us. We had another glorious mild day and the beautiful sun was shining bright. It was a stunning change to the gloom that winter brings. This day it felt like 3 degrees celsius and while I still wore my base layers, I wish I had chosen a t-shirt at times. The previous day we had hiked

Jones Bluff and Dangerous Rock Fissures
On January 7, the pups and I started our next adventure hiking in the Bruce Peninsula. This Jones Bluff trail was a continuation of a trail I did back in November 2025 Coveney's Loop to the Rock Formations . We had woken up pretty early to get a head start on this day which was likely to be long. We had a two hour drive to this trail head, which we were able to arrive at by 10am. The last time I was in this area, at the end of November, there was a bit of snow but nothin

I needed to do this hike to join two sections of the Bruce Trail that I had already completed. I had already hiked Snell Side Trail Duncan Caves and Snell Loop and then north of that at mono cliffs Mill Creek (Metcalfe Rock) and Mono Cliffs . The parking lot was in the middle of the two sections but a bit closer to the mono cliffs
